This isn't really a comment on your last post. I tried to send you an email but received an undeliverable message for rakewell@cox.net. I know that you moderate your comments so I figured that its as good a way as any to get you a message. Here it is:

I read your blog fairly consistently. I occasionally post comments under the moniker BigTikit.

You must check out this link to the results of recent tournament at the Commerce Casino.

    Anything catch your eye?

  3. Sorry--I keep meaning to explore why that email address is down, and then forget.

The link just goes to the tourney schedule. Nothing special about it that I can see at a glance.

    What can I say Rakewell!

She is as pleasant to see as she is to talk to, just the way you put it in your own words on the blog.

As I am a regular follower of your blog, it was easy to identify her in person, but, wanted to hide the identity at the table. I was trying to see how I can get her attention, I said welcome to the table with a smile, but, I am sure it was taken as a casual greeting.

During one of the hands the turn and river were 2 and 4, the raiser wins it with a single pair, he didn't have a clue about "The Grump". It was the perfect oppurtunity, I said to the table, do you folks know a hand named "The Grump". It was amazing no one had a clue, except for one (yours truly).

I usually post on two plus two in the Chuck forum. You should pay us a visit next time, it is one of the best action tables in our area. Also, the spring open (in April) at Borgata brings in a lot of poker players and would be a good time to visit DC.

Please say hai to CARDGIRL for me. I didn't get a chance to talk to her at length.

Here is a question for you:

What do you do at a table, where you know the players are overplaying their single pairs?

I waited, I waited, I waited... I donated, I donated and I donated some more for a good cause with no returns.

A hand in example, 57 suited, called a raise for 12 (5 callers, raiser is one of the players who plays his pairs to the maximum). Flop comes 368 (with one suit). I called 25 on the flop, turn 2 (same suit, oesd and small fd), I pushed for 25 more on a 40 bet. Missed every possible card in the deck. He shows pocket Q's.

A few hands like the one above, a few more where I raise with big ace and fold for a reraise on my CB - end result successfully burn some of the profits from 2/5 at 1/2.
