Joan Rivers, on last night's "Celebrity Apprentice," to Annie Duke.
You're a poker player! A poker player! That's beyond white trash! Poker players are trash, darling. Trash!
[See the full rant here, because a transcription can't possibly convey the bile and venom with which the words are spoken.]

I wondered if you were going to include this in your blog. I've never been much of an Annie Duke fan, but I've found myself cheering for her on this show. The two Rivers "twins" are such pieces of trash that I hope we never see them again on television. Annie is masterful in her crafty gamesmanship. She actually put Melissa on super monkey tilt!
Actually, she said "pokah players are trash".
Pokah players can't be as bad as Wall St stockbrokers and gamblers. Even Trump himself is worse - he's left a long trail of not paying smaller contractors for their work on his building projects by constantly invoking bankruptcy. And pokah players are trash?
I'm guessing that J Rivers had a bad experience with a gambler 20 or 30 years ago, and now thinks they're all evil and rotten.
I think Joan is making a generalization about poker players based on what she knows about Annie Duke. I really do not like Annie Duke at all. I don't think most of the poker community likes her, but they put up with her because she is the sister of Howard Lederer and it's sometimes easier to ignore her or play along with her then to make a big scene about it.
She's not a great poker player anyway. She's an average tournament player in my opinion.
She is a back stabbing, nosy, classless b#@%h as well.
