Living in Las Vegas

This article about living in Las Vegas is almost entirely true:

http://www.movoto.com/las-vegas-nv/moving-to-las-vegas/

It kind of glosses over some points, but still.

It also fails to mention one of the nicest things about living there: friends and family travel to see YOU, you don't have to travel to see them. Almost everybody, sooner or later, has some reason to go to Vegas, and you get to see them with little or no effort. (Of course, the other side of that coin is playing tour guide a few times a year, but it's worth it.)

Isn't the fact that friends and relatives are always coming to Vegas sort of a double-edged sword, tho?

You might get visited by relatives you don't really want to see. After all, you can't pick your relatives.

Then...you might find out you have some friends you didn't realize you still had. Or still want!

If you've gotten to your age without learning how to make polite, semi-plausible excuses for not being able to get together with somebody, there's no hope for you.

I've always been interested in the "Locals vs. Tourists" aspect of Vegas poker. Now that you are out of Vegas, any chance of sharing your experiences or thoughts on that topic? I know, I know, you don't do requests... but it would be interesting to get an insider's view of things.
