Remember Phil Laak and Ali Eslami playing against a computer last year, and barely winning? Well, here's a blog post about a talk recently given by one of the artificial-intelligence researchers about that match and their work to improve their program: http://mat.tepper.cmu.edu/blog/?p=235 (which I found via a link posted at http://www.mathandpoker.com).
I most enjoyed learning that the project has this as one of its goals: "They want to make Phil Hellmuth cry."
Oh yeah! I will be rooting for the machine!
