In Todd Bruson's Card Player magazine column in the current issue, he mentions having recently become an endorser of Hardcore Watches. So I checked out the company's web site to see what cool stuff they produce. They have a few other poker players shilling for them, though I didn't recognize any of the other names.
The first thing I noticed on the home page, though, was the invitation shown above: "Your invited" to the Grand Opening (I think that means of their new store inside the Rio). Apparently the company is so cheap it can't afford an "e" and an apostrophe. Or an editor who knows the difference between "your" and "you're."
Idiots.

Nice watches, horrible editing

Now Grump, you have surely noticed spelling is a rapidly disappearing skill? Right along with grammar and even quasi-legible handwriting. Do they even teach these things anymore? Since I don't have kids, not sure.
Yes there is spellcheck, but who wants to bother with that?
I blame texting for all this, but what do I know?
smudger
sew r ewe gonna go too the opening oar knot?
A grammar warrior myself "your" and "you're" absolutely kills me. Although I do bask in the irony when someone says on PokerStars "Your an idiot."
Stumbled across the blog today and subscribed, nice work.
The copy lacks on a whole. Fluff for the semi-literate individual more interested in style than substance. I'd say they have targeted their market with the same precision as their over-designed watches.
Who the hell "redefines time?"
Bad grammar is like nails on a chalkboard to me, and your / you're may well be the worst grammar offense (it's certainly top five). I'd like to blame text messaging, email, and online messaging, but back in my college days (late 80s and early 90s) I edited a lot of papers for friends who attended "good" suburban schools who couldn't compose a simple paragraph or get subjects and verbs to agree. Personally, I think bad grammar is mostly the result of parents and teachers who refuse to impose a reasonable level of academic expectations for their kids.
On the other hand, if enough people screw it up long enough, pretty soon your / you're will be accepted variants. Widespread ignorance often becomes truth ...
"....pretty soon your / you're will be accepted variants."
Right along with:
their-there-they're
Guess it's the three versions that confuses people so badly?
lose-loose
A lot of poker players posting in forums can't seem to figure out that "loose" refers to card selection/playing style, and "lose" is what happens when the other guy gets the pot.

Another top five grammar pet peeve. How hard is it to remember the word "lose"? Why put an extra letter in it?
