Tommy Angelo, in A Rubber Band Story, page 168.



I make a living at poker by choosing when to enter a game and when to leave it. These options give me the freedom to choose my state of mind, and to choose my opponents. My betting decisions are of small consequence, comparatively.

I have to disagree with the last part of this.

Yes, it's a beautiful statement showing how powerful game selection is.

When Tommy says:
"My betting decisions are of small consequence, comparatively."

I feel betting decisions are still crucial enough that there's little value in stating this.
In other words you STILL have a lot of work to do!
"small consequence" doesn't convey that.
