Better lucky than good

Today I played at Mandalay Bay. All of my profit came from one big hand, which I played so badly at every decision point except the last one (after a lucky winning card had come my way) that I'm not even gonna tell you about it. It's too embarrassing.

So there.

if a guy KNOWS he is playing bad, and is aware, and continues to play bad, is that a good thing or a bad thing? or is it better if he isnt aware?

I think that's where the saying about cards recognizing talent came from...in this political season there must be some way to spin this into a great play on your part.

What a tease! Come on, Grump! Your readers and fans want to hear about it.

I was at the same table and met grump for the first time (I was seat 3 with Broncos shirt on). I witnessed the hand and while questionable, I've seen worse. To summarize, grump heads-up went all in oop on turn with pair of kings with Q kicker (may have been J kicker?). Villian calls with must have been 2 pair (he didn't show but no straight or flush draw on board). River brings K and grump wins nice pot. So, I believe grump had 2-5 outs. I think this is the hand anyway. :-)

Yeah, that's it. But I suspect he had QQ or JJ and I was already good with the K on the flop.
