Stupid policy

For the past several months, Luxor and Excalibur have had a "no photos" policy in place, complete with signs. Of course, everybody wants to take pictures of the signs as a gag. Well, it appears that the powers that be have recognized how pointless and unenforceable this policy is. Read more about it here:

I remember seeing the signs during my March trip, and I laughed at the purported justification: "[T]o ensure the safety and privacy of our guests". Excuse me, but how do a few photos of some drunk tourists having a good time endanger the safety of anyone? Allergy to flashes? For that matter, as far as privacy goes, people are out in a public place, so what claim do they have to immunity from being in a photo? They don't have to pose, but in this age of Facebook and Twitter, they can't whine about getting caught on camera.

Just another stupid rule in search of a problem.
